LONG TERM-CARE
Touch-up as needed: Brow henna typically lasts between 2 to 6 weeks and brow lamination 6-8 weeks, depending on skin type and aftercare.
Some face masks, especially those that are clay-based or exfoliating, can cause the henna / brow lamination to fade faster. Use them cautiously around the brow area.
After washing the face, gently pat the brow area dry with a soft towel, avoiding any rubbing motion.
By following these aftercare tips, you can extend the life of your brows and maintain the desired color and shape for longer.
aftercare
Aftercare is crucial for maintaining the longevity and appearance of brow henna / tint & brow lamination. Here’s a comprehensive guide to ensure your to get the best results:
First 24-48 hours (Powder henna, Tint, Brow Lamination):
- Keep the brows dry for at least 48 hours after the henna/brow lamination application to allow the color to set properly. This means no washing the face, swimming, or sweating excessively.
- Avoid touching, rubbing, or scratching the brows to prevent disturbing the henna and risking uneven fading.
- Refrain from applying makeup or skincare products around the brow area during this time, especially products with oils or exfoliating agents, as they can interfere with the brows setting.
Ongoing maintenance:
- Cleansers, makeup removers can cause the henna/brow lamination to fade more quickly.
- When washing the face, use a mild, non-abrasive cleanser around the brow area. Avoid scrubbing the brows directly to prevent the henna/brow lamination from fading prematurely.
- Refrain from using exfoliating products or treatments (like scrubs, chemical peels, or microdermabrasion) on or around the brows, as these can strip the henna from the skin.
- Excessive sun exposure can cause the henna to fade faster. Apply a sunscreen with SPF around the brows or wear a hat to protect them from UV rays.
- Keep the brow area hydrated with a light, oil-free moisturizer. This can help maintain the skin’s moisture balance.
- Exposure to high heat, steam, or sweating can cause the henna and brow lamination to fade more quickly. Avoid saunas, steam rooms, or intense workouts that may cause sweating.
Avoid tweezing, waxing, or threading the brow area for at least 48 hours after the henna application to prevent irritation and uneven color.
